This Pitch was exceptional! very well marked with a good rope system on both sides of the pitch, even though only a touch judge was on the far side.

This was set to be a great match considering quake's play this season. everyone that came to watch (about 100) saw a very close well fought match. these two teams came together testing each other in every way. that included a little referring to pull everyone in line. eugene scored
1st @ 12 minutes. the battle continued until quake scored & converted @ 29 minutes. on with contentious action ending with eugene scoring & converting @ 38 minutes (halftime 12-7)

the 2nd half was more of the 1st. play became a little more refined and less fanatic. eugene scored then quake then eugene then quake. several of the scoring opportunities were right in the middle of the half. eugene now have a bevey of young speedy players that graduated from thurston hs a few years ago. smartly,eugene substituted in several of these speedy fresh backs in the 2nd half. eugene ended quakes hopes of winning after 3 breakaways by 3 of these young players, late in the match.
